The Sunset Kings is a six-piece indie-rock band featuring vocals, guitar, bass, drums, violin, and saxophone. Their unique style of jazz-fusion is strung together with soulfully expressive melodies, and their list of influences looks more like an eclectic Spotify playlist: The Doors, Nirvana, Snarky Puppy, The Dear Hunter, Frank Ocean, BADBADNOTGOOD, Pretty Lights, The Mars Volta, and Dream Theater among them. Formed in Boston in 2015, The Sunset Kings live in a music house and put forth a raw and developed sound that can only grow out of the tensions of spending everyday with your closest friends in life, business, and art.

DIE FOR YOU is The Sunset King’s foray into traditional guitar pop rock, driven by evocative imagery and Star’s unique lyrical voice. “Wine glass bombs exploding on the ground. Throw those photo frame grenades around. I will shield your body from the bursting blues and blacks, ‘cause I promised you I’d love you through the worst attacks,” show the clear yet captivating juxtaposition between the traumas of battle and the depth of heartbreak fuels the song.
